Clean your System Start Up Utility

Almost every time you install a program or a spyware program
installs itself a file will be installed in your auto start up file. This slows
down your computer and uses up resource and can cause it to crash, Worse yet it
will allow the spyware to run amok in your computer. See our Remove
adware and spyware page.
Removing these unnecessary entries will speed up your
computer. See
Speeding up your computer before proceeding.
Now that you have reduced the number of programs you may want
to get rid of those lines that contain disabled file. This is just to streamline
the look of it so you won't have to scroll down to see what in in start up.
There is no enhancement in speed.

For Windows 98
This is a delicate procedure and can
kill your Windows Operating System if done improperly. See Legal

routine as described in the link below.
This should remove most of the files that you disabled in the
Speeding Up Your
Computer section. This will make it easier to see what is running on start
up without your having to scroll down quite as much. There may be some disable
listings that were not removed by this method, but thto this extent is has been
a fairly safe procedure.
