Hawaii

As you will notice on the map that some areas of the island are green and others are varying shades of brown and even black. The green area are those that receive a significant amount of rain and are filled with lush tropical foliage. The brown areas, often referred to as the "dry side" either receive less rain or the conditions are less compatible for lush growth, but have their own unique biodiversity that make them worth exploring. The Black region represent Lava flow some of which are active and others are dormant and are waiting for nature to populate the region.
