Parks of the United States range in such scenic wonder as the Grand
Canyon National Park, to heart wrenching memorials such as the Vietnam
Veterans Memorial National Memorial.
1872 was the birth of the
national parks, to preserve our natural and cultural heritage. Today, the
National Park Service oversees 388 parks, monuments, and recreation areas.
