Had we started with an archives feature from the git go we

Hurricane Wilma or Wild Wilma
This was the projected path of the hurricane force winds and boy were they
accurate. This was the first time in 39 years (not since "Donna"
in 1961") that Naples Florida received a direct hit from a
hurricane. As you may well know that this is where our headquarters are
located. We were forced offline by the storm while we prepared for and
later cleaned up and repaired. See our "Surviving a Hurricane" page.

In the aftermath of Katrina we had a chance to see what is
most important to many of the people affected by the storm. For some of
the looters it was TVs with no place or electric to watch them, but this
fellow has a whole different set of values - his lady, his beer, and
something with flotation to keep them out of the water.

Though or site is dedicated to doing the things that normally
make one happy we find that we must pay tribute to great losses. Those that were
victims of 9/11 and Steve Irwin the Crocodile bloke, seem to be on everyone's
mind.

Steve Irwin (BIO)
will be sorely missed by those of us that admired the work he did in educating
us about the marvels of nature, but not any more than those that were closest to
him such as his wife
Terri (a native of Eugene Oregon) and his Father
Bob Irwin who saw Steve as more than a son but also a best friend. (In
Aussie Speak - "mate") |
